Coverage A
Coverage A, the most written coverage for an insurance adjuster. So, what does Coverage A mean? Coverage A is a term to describe a portion or type of your property. The simplest way to put it; If you were to turn your house upside down, everything that did not fall to the ground would be considered coverage A.
Crazy to think about, right? Coverage A covers the structure: studs, walls, ceilings, attached fixtures such as lighting, cabinets, electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC, etc. Each of these categories has numerous items that collectively compose a house. Your coverage A insurance covers any damage to those components. For example, a pipe freezes and causes water damage, you have coverage (provided you maintained heat in the building 😉 Or, in the unfortunate event of a fire that destroys your house, you will be covered up to your coverage A limits to rebuild your house.
